Both 4x200 meter relay teams placed, with the boys (Brandon Graham, Nick Patterson, Shaquille Coleman, Willie Robinson) finishing third, and the girls (Kienyu Brown, Kim Nazworth, Kim Haggins, Jamilah Johnson) crossing the line in first.

Among the individual finalists for each team included:

Bryana Scott, who placed first in the FSU Relays on Friday, finished second in the discus throw; Ashley O’Neal finished fourth in the shotput; Anthony Davis finished second in the high jump (6-2) and Donte Ard finished third in the 300-meter hurdle.

“I don’t think we did as well as we could’ve,” boys coach Harry Skipper said. “But not performing at our best gives us something to work on.”

Central will participate in next week’s Lowndes Invitational in Valdosta then take a weekend off during spring break.

“We want to finish on a high note before we’re off for that break,” girls coach Chad Ward said. “We’re really trying to work on power and strength right now in practice drills so we finish races hard.”
