Central's Choice delivers in clutch

THOMASVILLE — Adam Choice has delivered sensational and electrifying games during his two years as Thomas County Central's starting quarterback.

Last Friday, the junior signal-caller delivered one of the gutsiest peformances of his Yellow Jackets career.

Battered and bruised by Creekside's defense in the first round of the Class AAAAA playoffs, Choice picked himself off the ground time and again and led the Yellow Jackets to a 27-24 double-overtime win.

“He truly showed the heart of a champion right there at that last play in double overtime when we scored,” Central offensive lineman Hunter Parmer said. “That was just his heart right there.”

Choice's third touchdown of the game came on a 6-yard scamper in the second overtime that propelled the Yellow Jackets past the Seminoles. That followed an 8-yard score in the first overtime that initially gave Central a lead. Choice finished with 168 rushing yards.
