The Thomasville boys and girls swim teams each won a three-team event on Wednesday at Thomasville.
The Lady Bulldogs beat Thomas County Central and Bainbridge with 97 points. Central scored 95.50 and Bainbridge netted a score of 71.50.
The Thomasville boys won with 106 points. Bainbridge finished second with 79, and Central added 74.
Thomasville’s Megan Harding was the girls individual winner with 14 points. Harding was part of the Lady Bulldogs 200-meter medley relay team that finished first. Harding also won the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke. Harding was also a member of the second-place 400-meter freestyle relay team.
Central’s Jordan Barrett, Peyton Barrett, Libby Burton and Ashton Whaley each tied for second with 12 points.
Thomasville’s Sam Tabacchi and Ryan Davis tied for the boys overall lead with 14 points.
Both were members of the Bulldogs’ 200-meter medley relay team that finished first and the 400-meter freestyle relay team that also finished first. Davis also won the 200-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly, in which Davis qualified for state.
Tabacchi also won the 200-meter individual medley and 100-meter breaststroke.
Tabacchi was also a state qualifier in the 200-meter individual medley.
Both Thomasville teams will swim again today at 8 a.m. in the Coffee Trojan Invitational at South Georgia College.
