Sept. 11, 2001, the day that a series of terrorist attacks changed the United States forever. Thomas University will observe this day and honor those who lost their lives during a remembrance ceremony at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the flagpole in front of the Forbes Building on the Main Campus.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Lt. Col. Kevin D. Ingram, who graduated from Thomas University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant into the Air Defense Artillery from Florida State University. During his career with the Army, Ingram has served in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq. He is currently the brigade oerations officer for the 177th Armored Brigade, Joint Forces Training Center at Camp Shelby, Miss. Later this month, he will assume command of 1st Battalion, 346th Regiment.
