Men charged with child molestation in unrelated cases

THOMASVILLE — Two local men were denied bond and are being held in the Thomas County Jail in child molestation cases.

Dustin Jackson, 34, Old Highway 84, Boston, was arrested at his residence and charged with child molestation and aggravated child molestation.

“The victim is under the age of 16,” said Capt. Steven Jones, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office public information officer.

Jones said Jackson is charged with molesting and engaging in sodomy with a female victim.

“It is believed to have occurred at his residence,” Jones said.

In an unrelated case, Clarence Jeremy Leach, 35, Bluebird Avenue, was arrested at his Thomasville place of employment and charged with child molestation.

Leach is accused of providing pornographic material and video images to a underage girl.

“The child was under 14,” Jones said.

The suspect showed the girl pornographic material on more than one occasion, the officer said.

“The perpetrator was not a stranger to his victim,” Jones explained.
