Close to 3,000 early voting ballots had been cast by noon Monday.
“We had over 600 on Friday alone,” said Phillip Henry, Thomas County elections supervisor.
Voter traffic is a little ahead of the volume at the same time during the 2008 presidential election.
Among those voting early were two 103-year-olds. One walked with the assistance of a walker. The other was in a wheelchair, Henry said.
“We’ve had 2,800 (total) as of today,” Henry said a few minutes before noon Monday.
Early voting continues until Friday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Thomas County Judicial Center, 325 N. Madison St.
Early voting also is this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the same location.
