THOMASVILLE —

The Treehouse Children’s Advocacy Center of Thomas County Inc. is conducting an effort to make Christmas cheerful for children who are victims of physical and sexual abuse.

“All children receiving gifts are from Thomas County and are victims of physical or sexual abuse, neglect, have witnessed a violent act or is a child in need,” said Jackla Lawson, Treehouse executive director.

An “Adopt-A-Wish List” is available. Each child chosen from the wish list will receive a duffle bag monogrammed with the first letter of the recipient’s first name.

Those choosing a child from the list are asked to provide two outfits, one jacket and a minimum of three items from the child’s list. Additional items are permitted.

For a child’s sizes, wish list and other information, contact Lawson at (229) 977-1639 or jackla.treehouse@gmail.com.

Donations to the project should be made payable to The Treehouse, P.O. Box 2594, Thomasville, Ga. 31799.

Gifts and donations are tax-deductible.

Gifts may be dropped off at Georgia State Patrol Post 12 on the north bypass from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The deadline for dropping off gifts is Friday, Dec. 6.
