THOMASVILLE — Two suspects have been arrested for breaking into Lanter Communications at 603 Smith Ave.

Arrested were Sammy Lee Reed, 46, and Christopher Jermaine Ross, 26.

Witnesses said they saw the suspects on Dec. 1 enter the business by breaking the front glass windows. An unknown number of cell phones were taken. There was video footage from a security camera, but the suspects were unable to be identified.

The suspects returned to the establishment a second time on Dec. 7. This time a witness was walking nearby, noticed the break-in and called the police. A police officer was close by and responded immediately.

The suspects were able to get about one block before the police caught them.

Both Reed and Ross were charged with one count of burglary.
