THOMASVILLE — A Tallahassee Walmart wasn’t completely filled with the holiday shopping spirit on Saturday. The store was a crime scene.

Two couples, eager to get in to the Apalachee Parkway store, began arguing over a parking spot. A shopping cart hit the side of one of the cars. Earl White Yancey III, 31, got out of the hit car.

According to the arrest affidavit, Tiffany Leanne Yancey, 27, pointed a gun at a female and demanded “everything in your purse.”

Seconds later, White allegedly shot the woman and a male passenger outside the store.

White and Yancey fled and headed north on Highway 111 south of Cairo.

Gadsden County Sheriff’s deputies spotted their vehicle and began a high-speed chase. Both vehicles reached as high as 90 mph.

Grady County deputies used spike strips to slow White and Yancey’s vehicle. The car crashed into a guard rail where deputies took the two into custody.

White and Yancey face charges of attempted robbery with a firearm, attempted murder and possession of firearm by convicted felon.
