Music lovers can double their pleasure at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium on Saturday.
The latest concert in the 12-year-old “Another Night of Bluegrass Series” will feature two acts — Ramblin’ Grass and Midnight Rain.
“Ramblin’ Grass is a very traditional bluegrass band,” said Len Robinson, who books bluegrass shows for the auditorium.
Robinson said the group from Powder Springs was recommended to him by Moultrie’s Dave Marchant. Marchant, friends with a member of the band, listens to Robinson’s Saturday afternoon bluegrass show on WTUF 106.3 FM.
Midnight Rain will kick off the show at 7:30 p.m. It features local brothers Brandon (vocals, banjo) and Skylar Gandy (vocals, fiddle). Some of the songs they play are original works.
Sixteen-year-old Skylar Gandy’s rendition of Bill Munroe’s “Ruby’ has long been a favorite of local bluegrass fans. He has been singing it at the auditorium occasionally since he was 7.
Tickets, available at the Main Street office (144 E. Jackson St.) Friday and before the show Saturday, cost $10. All seats are reserved.
