CNHI News Service

THOMASVILLE — Police recognized a passenger in a vehicle at a service station as someone wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The man, who was in possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage, was approached by officers.

“He was very nervous, kept putting his hands in his pockets,” said Kevin Lee, Thomas County Narcotics/Vice Division commander.

Digital scales were found in the man’s pocket, and he was handcuffed.

The suspect, Dusty Phildies “Buck” Davis, 29, 119 Crystal St., was handcuffed.

“After he was handcuffed, he kept trying to reach in his back pockets,” Lee said. Officers saw Davis drop cocaine behind him.

Lee said the contraband weighed between two and three grams and had a street value of $200 to $3O0.

Davis was in possession of $500 in U.S. currency.

He is charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute.

Davis was charged recently in another case with possession of a large quantity of cocaine.
