Police issue block warning

THOMASVILLE — The Thomasville Police Department is investigating burglaries that have taken place in the 1700 block of North Martin Luther King Drive. Four residences have been burglarized.

Suspects are entering homes that are unoccupied. There has only been one home owner that reported missing anything — a set of hedge trimmers.

In all four the homes, items have been thrown throughout the house as if there was a massive search for something.

“We are encouraging citizens to secure their homes if no one will be living in them and to have family members check them as often as possible. Sheds behind residences should also be secured and items should not be left out unsecured in yards,” said Lt. Eric Hampton of the Thomasville Police Department.

Anyone with information about these crimes should notify Thomasville Police Investigators at  (229) 227-3302 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 227-3305
