Boston’s Ag Pro Companies acquires Metro Atlanta businesses

BOSTON —  Ag-Pro Companies has announced the acquisition of Fayette Tractor and Lawn Equipment Solutions — both with two locations each, marking a significant expansion in the Metro Atlanta area — that will allow the company to serve all market segments, from the consumer to the corporate farms.

As a result of this acquisition, Ag-Pro will become one of the largest John Deere dealers in the United States with a total of 29 locations across four states.  The combined company will have approximately $600 million in annualized sales and employ more than 600 people. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

 James Groover, CEO of Ag-Pro Companies, stated, "Our expansion across the Atlanta area marks Ag-Pro's commitment to all market segments while providing a unique opportunity to serve customers in the largest turf market in the nation.  We will implement the same service based business model that we have utilized since 1958 as we earn the loyalty of the customer base in this market."

Commenting on how the acquisition will enhance Ag-Pro, COO of Ag-Pro Companies Matthew Carlton stated, "Our new footprint will enable us to serve all customers, including large landscaping contractors across the Atlanta area, by offering multiple convenient locations that consistently deliver the quality service and parts offerings that our customers have come to expect."

Fayette Tractor is a John Deere dealer organization with two locations in Newnan and Fayetteville, Georgia. The company provides a wide range of John Deere equipment including John Deere Tractors, turf equipment, and Gator utility vehicles, as well as a wide range of additional product lines. The company was founded in Fayetteville in 1957 and expanded to Newnan, Georgia in 2000.
