Merchants prepare for Downtown Putt-Putt

THOMASVILLE — Downtown merchants’ shops are marked with hole markers  to prepare for the Downtown Putt-Putt Tourney scheduled for Saturday, ust in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

Participating merchants include The Bookshelf, Grassroots Coffee, Ally B Boutique, Hicks’ Clothing, Trolly’s, Big Oak Rug Gallery and Mimi’s. These businesses are placing holes in their establishments.

Teams of four players, at a cost of $100 per team, will complete the walking course and turn in their score card for a chance to win prizes. Teams are to register at Caroline Hill located at 116 W. Jackson St.

Family Enrichment Group Inc. is the event’s sponsor. It is a local non-profit that is putting on the event as a benefit for abused children served by their CASA Kids Program and Family Support Program.

The community’s support makes it possible for them to advocate for the needy children. Sponsors include Thomasville National Bank, Thomas County Federal Savings & Loan, The Gift Shop, Thomasville Times- Enterprise, TNB Financial, Cardiology Consultants of South Georgia, Relish, CNS, Kelly & Snow, Linda Lawson Signs, Oso Artworks, Citizens National Bank of Quitman, Junior Service League, Thomasville Kiwanis and Commercial Bank.
