THOMASVILLE — Rico Walker is determined to prevent bullying.

Due to inclement weather last Saturday, Relief From the Streets’ “No Bullying Day” was postponed. This Saturday, the organization Walker will try again from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Big Lots on Jackson Street.

“It’s in my heart to help kids,” Walker said. “I have a passion to stop bullying.

Relief From the Streets is a nonprofit organization in that works to enhance the lives of children in the area.

“We really need to take the initiative now to stop bullying,” Walker said.

The community is encouraged to come and show support to keep bullying out of schools and the community. Free hot dogs will be provided. T-shirts will be available for $10. Shirts come in a variety of colors.

“Some kids bully because they have situations going on back at home,” Walker said. “Other kids don’t even realize that they are bullying. Either way, we need to stop bullying, and we need to stop it now.”
