Atlanta Symphony Orchestra returning to Thomasville

THOMASVILLE — The Thomasville Entertainment Foundation has announced the return of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The ASO will appear with guest conductor Cristian Macelaru and cello soloist Daniel Laufer at 8 p.m., on Tuesday, April 16 in the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium.

“I can’t think of a more appropriate finale for our anniversary season,” said TEF Executive Director Janice Faircloth. “We are excited about the wonderful program the Orchestra has chosen for this festive event and we are looking forward to welcoming back the ASO after such a long absence.”

This year marks the 75th anniversary of TEF and a record eighth visit to Thomasville by the ASO. The Orchestra made their debut on the series 63 years ago on April 1, 1950, a mere five years after their formation.

See Tuesday's edition for more details.
