Archbold welcomes otolaryngologist

THOMASVILLE — Archbold Memorial Hospital has welcomed otolaryngologist Lorraine Maria Williams, MD, MPH, FACS, to the hospital’s medical staff. Williams joins audiologist Althea Grey at the Archbold Ear, Nose Throat and Allergy Center, where she’ll specialize in treating adult and pediatric patients for disorders of the ear, nose throat, head and neck, as well as in the treatment of allergy and sinus problems.

Williams earned a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from Howard University-College of Liberal Arts in Washington, DC, and a medical degree from Howard University-College of Medicine. She began her medical career in general surgery at the Howard University Hospital and completed a residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the Charles Drew University/ML King Medical Center in Los Angeles. Williams comes to Archbold from the Osborne Head and Neck Institute at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where she served as director of the Pediatric Division and director of Medical Education. She has also served as chief of otolaryngology for the Cedars Sinai Medical Group.

Board certified in otolaryngology as an ear, nose and throat specialist,

Williams has extensive experience treating pediatric patients with ear, nose and throat disorders, as well as patients with advanced thyroid masses. “I look forward to providing otolaryngology care for the residents of Thomas and surrounding counties,” said Williams. “In addition to clinical medicine, I am very committed to educating our youth and dedicated to giving back through community service.”
