Day camp enrollment open

THOMASVILLE — Brookwood School’s popular summer day camps are now open for enrollment.

The Warrior Way summer camps, offering a variety of activities for children from 4 years of age through the 8th grade, include more than 25 different week-long sessions, beginning in late May and continuing through July. For a brochure listing all the programs, e-mail summercamp@brookwoodschool.org, or telephone 229-226-8070. Students from all area schools are welcome.

Football and Basketball Camps offer youngsters fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship and other basic instruction, along with lots of fun, promise the coaches.

Fun, Fitness and Games will keep 1st-6th graders active and having a great time while learning about health and staying fit.

Beginning Sewing, Little Cooks with Books, Gadgets & Gizmos, American Girl Doll, Culinary Kids, and Guitar for Beginners are camps that will appeal to many young students who want to learn, create and acquire new skills.

Warrior Writing, Chapter Chat, Robotics, Technology Camp, Rhymes ‘N Times and Adventures in Art will improve skills and unlock potential while providing summer fun with other kids.

Science Camp, Mystery Road Trips and Salt Life Camp all offer adventures away from the Brookwood campus.

Ooey-Gooey campers should wear old clothes for “silly, squishy and slimy activities.”

The Spearettes Dance Camp will include a final-day performance for rising K-5th grade students.

Wee Warriors for junior kindergarten through second grade students is a great way for younger children to meet new friends and have fun with classmates.

The Who Dunnit? Camp lets 3rd-5th graders learn about forensic science and solve mysteries.

Take a Trip to China is offered for one, two or three weeks to explore Chines culture, learn Mandarin words and phrases, along with geography, history, customs and even cooking.

Registration and release forms are provided on the Brookwood School website, www.brookwoodschool.org, under “News and Events.” Campers who attend morning and afternoon camp sessions may join the “Lunch Bunch” with lunch, fun and games.

See the website for additional information and for dates and times.
