THOMASVILLE — Root 3:16 is giving an encore performance for a Thomas County youth affected by a serious illness.

Last year, Root 3:16 Ministries held its first community cancer concert for Nick Brinson, a young man diagnosed with cancerous brain tumors. The Concert for Nick raised $22,000 for Nick and the Brinson family.

Root 3:16 band members Joel Carter, Gene Carlton, Jim Spangler, Randy Young, Bobby Dollar and Chris Hall hope to have the same response as last year for Jailah Armstrong.

Armstrong was diagnosed with stage 4 Medulloblastoma Brain Cancer on April 12, 2012.

See Thursday's edition for more details.
