THOMASVILLE — A Thomasville doctor, who was released on his own recognizance in late February, was arrested Thursday at his Thomasville office.

Adam Frasch was arrested on a Leon County, Fla., warrant.

Federal authorities executed a search warrant at the 510 Gordon Ave. Office — South Georgia Family Foot Institute — in reference to possible Medicare and Medicaid fraud, said Lt. Tim Watkins, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office public information officer.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office spokesman did not return repeated phone calls.

Firearms were found at the office, Watkins said.

“They were searching his office for those records. Several firearms were located,” Watkins explained.

At the request of federal officials, a Thomasville police officer stood by while the search warrant was executed.

Possession of the firearms violated conditions of Frasch’s Leon County bond.

Leon County Sheriff’s Office officials asked that the local sheriff’s office secure the firearms, which are in the evidence room of the local law enforcement agency. The firearms will be turned over to Leon County.

Watkins said possession of the firearms is in violation of conditions in which Frasch was released in Leon County on a charge of interfering with child custody.

The investigator declined to say what kind of firearms were found. Neither would he say how many were discovered.

Frasch’s estranged wife, Samira Frasch, a former model, was found dead in the pool at the couple’s Tallahassee, Fla., home on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 22.

The Frasches were divorcing. Ms. Frasch had been awarded temporary custody of the Tallahassee house and children.

The couple’s two children, ages 1 and 2, were declared missing when their mother’s body was found. An alert was issued for the doctor.

The Bay County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force took Frasch into custody later that day at his Panama City Beach residence.

The children, who were with their father at the beach house, are with relatives.

Frasch was transported back to Leon County to face charges.

In addition to Panama City Beach and Tallahassee residences, Frasch also has a residence at 296 East Live Oak Lane in Thomasville.

Watkins said Frasch’s attorney and possibly a relative were at the doctor’s office when he was arrested Thursday.
