Thomas County commissioners approved several vehicle purchases at a recent meeting.
The board approved the purchase of vehicles for public works, building inspection and 911 totaling $86,794. The bid, the low among three submitted, was from Stallings Motors.
Commissioners ratified the purchase of gasoline from Petroleum Products at $2.8150 a gallon for 7,500 gallons and diesel from Plantation Petroleum at $3.0725 a gallon for 7,500 gallons.
In other action, commissioners approved an expenditure of up to $14,500 to replace the roof on building/maintenance department offices.
The board appointed Shelley Zorn, Thomasville economic development executive director, to the Joint Development Authority and reappointed Dr. Bonnie Seery, currently vice chairman, to the Region Four Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Development board.
