THOMASVILLE — A Thomas County man who has been in jail more than a year entered a guilty plea in Thomas County Superior Court to stealing an English bulldog being boarded at a South Madison Street facility in early October 2011.

Tony Lee Davis, 33 at the time of his arrest, 385 Beaver Hill, Ochlocknee, was charged with felony theft by taking of Bubba on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011.

The dog was being boarded overnight by his owners, Atlanta residents Teresa and Jack McMillan, who were in Thomasville visiting relatives.

A communitywide search for the dog began immediately. The McMillans offered a $10,000 reward for Bubba's safe return.
