The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 809 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 38 deaths. There also have been 108 people to be hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus.
Statewide, there have been more than 161,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 3,442 deaths in Georgia and 16,752 people being hospitalized.
The state has administered more than 1.3 million tests.
Archbold is making the following changes in services beginning Monday, June 27: Until further notice, elective GI procedures at Archbold Memorial Hospital and Grady General Hospital will be discontinued. Patients that are scheduled for these procedures will receive a phone call to reschedule. Archbold will reschedule these procedures a week at a time and evaluate the situation before rescheduling additional weeks.
Until further notice, Archbold will discontinue Phase 2 and 3 cardiac rehabilitation at Archbold Memorial Hospital and Grady General Hospital. These are the only changes in service at this time.
