THOMASVILLE — The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 302 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 30 deaths. There also have been 62 people to be hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus.
Statewide, there have been 40,405 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19. leading to 1,754 deaths in Georgia and 7,235 people being hospitalized.
The state has administered more than 407,000 tests.
Archbold officials reported Thursday that to date there have been 484 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 51 deaths.
The health care system also has had a total of 2,129 negative test results. Of those who have tested positive, 399 are at home, and many of them are thought to have recovered while at home. There are eight patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
There have been 233 inpatients who have been discharged, or are no longer testing positive or others known to Archbold as having recovered.
From its Pinetree Boulevard screening site, Archbold has had 170 total positive test results. There have been 1,032 negative test results from the Pinetree screening site. Those tested at the screening site and waiting on results will be notified by their primary care provider.
No patient at Brooks County Hospital or Grady General has a positive test result. There are seven at Mitchell County Hospital who have tested positive.
No resident at either Glenn-Mor Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center has tested positive. As of Thursday, there are 19 residents at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home classified as having a COVID-19 positive test result.
