The state Department of Public Health reports there have been 6,064 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 163 deaths. There also have been 543 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Thomas County has recorded 10 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.
The state DPH has recorded 2,430 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 67 deaths and 239 hospitalizations attributed to the virus. The county has added 20 new cases in the last two weeks.
Statewide, there have been more than 1.27 million confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 25,546 deaths and more than 88,570 hospitalizations.
More than 12.8 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 10.1% for positive results.
Statewide, there have been 9,738 new COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks.
The state has issued more than 11.89 million vaccinations, and 51% of all Georgia residents, more than 5.29 million people, have been fully vaccinated.
