Future educators pledge to teach

The day’s supporters include State School Superintendent Richard Woods’ office, the Georgia Division of Career and Technical Education (CTAE), Georgia Early Childhood Education Foundation (GECEF), and Georgia’s colleges and universities.

Thomas County Central High School recently held a special ceremony to recognize seniors who intend to pursue an education degree. The Georgia Future Educators Signing Day was May 7.

Representatives from the school’s early childhood education program and PAGE representatives attended. Each student signed a letter of commitment, pledging their intent to become an educator and improve the quality of education for Georgia students.
