VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University is proud to offer scholarships to nearly 500 currently enrolled, incoming first-year, and transfer students for the 2019-20 academic year. These scholarships were established by private donors and are awarded each year by VSU Foundation Inc. to students with excellent academic achievement and/or students with financial need. Each recipient represents the high standards of the university.

Haley Boyd of Pavo awarded the Music Alliance Scholarship.

Samuel Davis of Pavo awarded the Maggie W.Bridges and Michael A. Stoddard Scholarship and the Colquitt EMC Scholarship.

Frederick Drayton of Thomasville awarded the Lorene Joiner Memorial Scholarship.

Benjamin Gardner of Thomasville awarded the Georgia Power Recruiting and Retention Scholarship.

Jennifer Gonzalez of Pavo awarded the Colquitt EMC Scholarship.

Matthew Mancil of Ochlocknee awarded the Babara Pearlman Soshnik Scholarship, the Antonio and Edna Crisuolo Scholarship, and the S. Walter Martin Scholarship.

Jenil Patel of Thomasville awarded the Walter and Dorothy Salter Scholarship.

Alan Simms of Thomasville awarded the Jerry and Kay Jennett Endowment Scholarship.

Nakota Szymoniak of Boston awarded the Antonio and Edna Crisuolo Scholarship.

Travis Webb of Thomasville awarded the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra Scholarship and the Music Alliance Scholarship.

Sherry Lammons of Pelham awarded the VSU Cares Scholarship.

Shardajia McCloud of Pelham awarded the Ruby and John Sullivan Scholarship.

Brittany Ruby of Ochlocknee awarded the Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship.
