THOMASVILLE — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is warning residents to be on the lookout for a suspect who is wanted in connection to a Mitchell County slaying.
Kentravious Gardner is wanted for felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Gardner's current whereabouts are unknown, though the Camilla resident has family in the Thomasville area. A GBI press release states that Gardner may be armed.
The U.S. Marshals are offering a $1,000 reward for information which leads to Gardner's arrest and conviction.
Investigators say Gardner, 33, was involved in a verbal argument with another man outside a Camilla residence the evening of September 25. At some point during the altercation, Gardner entered the residence and retrieved a firearm, which he used to shoot the male and another female. The male victim, Justin West, later died of his wounds. Gardner then fled the scene in a red Honda Accord.
Authorities later found the vehicle in a Thomasville body shop on September 29. The vehicle was determined to belong to a family member of Gardner's.
