THOMASVILLE — A 20-year-old Thomasville man is charged with felony sexual exploitation of children in a case involving a 16-year-old girl.
Shady Coriane Swain, 20, 1325 Warren Ave., befriended a juvenile Thomas County girl on social media, said Lt. Tim Watkins, Thomas County Sheriff's Office chief investigator.
"They communicated back and forth and sent pictures back and forth of each other," Watkins said.
Swain, he said, wanted to meet the girl in person. She refused.
Watkins said Swain told the girl that if she did not meet him, he would post photos he had received from her.
"She did not meet him, and he posted inappropriate photos of her on social media," Watkins said.
The same type of case was made against Swain when he was 17, Watkins said. The charge was reduced to a misdemeanor because of the suspect's age.
Victims in the earlier case were juveniles.
