THOMASVILLE — A 46-year-old man died at dusk Saturday in a motorcycle crash near his Cindy Drive home.

The 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle Henry Curtis Ansley, 282 Cindy Drive, was driving crashed at 225 Cindy Drive, said Sgt. 1st Class John Vanlandingham, Thomasville Post 12 Georgia State Patrol commander.

Ansley left his home and headed east on Cindy Drive, traveling toward U.S. 319 South.

"He was negotiating a left-turning curve," VanLandingham said.

Ansley lost control of the 'cycle, which traveled 100 feet off the road. VanLandingham said Ansley struck a telephone pole.

Ansley, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected into a ditch, VanLandingham said, adding that the victim suffered head, chest and shoulder trauma.

Ansley was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
