THOMASVILLE — The TC Federal Bank (TCF) Board of Directors has announced the promotion of Matt Brown to chief executive officer and the promotion of Senior Vice President Nat Higdon to Tallahassee market president.

Brown, who has more than four decades of experience leading banks in the region, was instrumental in the opening of the bank’s new branch in Tallahassee last year. As CEO, he will guide the bank’s executive leadership team as the 84-year-old financial institution continues to expand in North Florida and South Georgia.

Higdon, who’s been with the bank for six years as a commercial lender, joins the executive leadership team and will focus on growing the bank in North Florida. He joins Thomasville Market President Greg Eiford, who oversees the bank’s mortgage group that serves both markets and recently opened a loan origination office in Savannah, Georgia. Both Higdon and Eiford will serve under Brown.

“We are excited about the current direction and progress of the bank, and feel confident in Matt’s proven ability to guide the organization going forward,” said Stephanie Tillman, TC Federal Bank Board Chair. “With this appointment, Matt’s focus will remain strategic while ensuring the effective implementation and execution of critical processes, procedures, and systems required to better serve our customers. Matt will also join our Board to serve as a director.”
