THOMASVILLE — A Thomasville native has reached the final four of an online chef competition.

Amy Coram Reynolds, who now lives in Las Vegas, began as a contestant in a field of 34,000, with 64 remaining earlier this week.

Voting began Friday at 1 p.m. (EDT) in the final four. Voting ends at 9 p.m. on Thursday , April 8 (EDT).

Reynolds is a private chef and owner of a business she started in 2020.

Reynolds, who attended culinary school in New York, is a daughter of MaryBeth and Tim Coram and a 2005 graduate of Thomas County Central High School.

In mid-2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic in full force, Reynolds saw chefs losing their jobs. She decided to begin her own business, A Chef's Life LLC.

On April 1, Reynolds' company launched a condiment line. The first product is Saucy, a hot sauce. 

Reynolds hopes to win the contest first prize of $50,000 and an ad in "Bon Appetit" magazine.

She said the prizes would allow her business and condiment line to grow faster.
