OCHLOCKNEE — A 23-year-old Thomasville woman died in a Sunday two-vehicle traffic crash in downtown Ochlocknee.
The victim, Christin Singletary, was a front seat passenger in a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Mack Castleberry, 30, Dollar Store Road, said Senior Trooper Micheal Moses of Thomasville Post 13 Georgia State Patrol.
Larry Radney, 36, Cone Road, driving a 2011 Toyota Avalon and traveling east on Ga. 188, stopped at a stop sign on the west side of Ga. 3. The Ranger was traveling south on Ga. 3.
"He (Radney) failed to yield after stopping at the stop sign and pulled into the path of (Mr.) Castleberry," Moses said.
The crash occurred about 4:30 p.m., when Radney traveled forward onto Ga. 3, the trooper said, adding that Singletary was wearing a lap belt.
Castleberry suffered minor injuries and was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital, Moses said.
Radney was not injured.
No charges have been made in the crash.
"We're still investigating," the trooper said.
Moses and the GSP Specialized Crash Reconstruction Team will conduct an investigation of the crash.
