THOMASVILLE — The Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets swept their Class AAAA first round baseball playoff series with Howard, winning 10-0 and 14-0 Wednesday.

Reid Harvey fanned 12 and walked two, allowing two hits in the 14-0 nightcap. Jake Green struck out 13 and gave up just one hit in the opener. it was the only baserunner he allowed.

Griffin Taylor went 5-for-7 with six RBIs and two doubles to lead the offense in the doubleheader. Jaylan Robinson was 3-for-5 with four RBIs, Green was 4-for-5 with a double, Adam Lane was 2-for-5 and Will Carson, who had a double, and Jason Benton each went 2-for-3.
