During Thanksgiving weekend, South Georgia Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker” returns to the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium for an enchanting performance the whole family will enjoy.  The company will perform this beloved ballet on Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 27, 2011 at 2:30 p.m., marking South Georgia Ballet’s 14th production of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker.

The Parade of Sweets Children’s Tea is planned for Sunday at 1:30 at Commercial Bank where children can meet the ballerinas in costume.  Additionally, two outreach matinees designed for school groups will be danced on Nov. 28.

Staged with spectacular backdrops and brilliant costumes, the South Georgia Ballet dancers express the Nutcracker tale with a blend of dance and music, filling the audience with Christmas beauty.
