BLAKELY — Thomasville’s pitchers held Early County to three earned runs, and the Bulldogs swept a Region 1-AA doubleheader from the Bobcats, taking the opener 3-1 and the nightcap 6-4.

Jacob Jordan and Gabe Duncan combined for 13 strikeouts and held Early County to six hits in the opener.

Witt Wetherington was 2-for-4 with a double, and Jace Lowe went 2-for-2.

Wetherington went 2-for-4 in the second game. The Bulldogs broke the game open with three runs in the sixth inning, two of them scoring on Duncan’s triple.

Ben Rawlings went the first six innings, allowing one earned run on five hits while fanning four.
