Central rallies to beat Colquitt County

THOMASVILLE — Lawson Odom’s single in the bottom of the eighth inning brought in JJ Potts with the winning run, and Thomas County Central pulled out an 8-7 win over Colquitt County on Saturday.
Ethan Barrett got the win with two innings of scoreless relief. He struck out four and gave up one hit.

Adam Lane and Griffin Taylor, who had a triple, each went 3-for-4.
Lee McCorkle and Will Carson each went 2-for-4 and Jason Benton and Brayden Payne each drove in two runs.
The Jackets finished with 15 hits.
Thomas County Central fell 10-5 to Pike County on Friday night.
Carson was 3-for-5 while Benton and Reid Harvey each went 2-for-2.
Central travels to Lee County on Tuesday for a 5:45 p.m. game.
