THOMASVILLE — One of the top high school defensive players in the 2023 class provided an update on Monday about his college recruitment.
Junior Thomas County Central defensive end/outside linebacker Gabe Harris announced via twitter that he was decommitting from Florida State University.
His tweet read: “I am appreciative of the opportunities that have been provided to me by FSU. With schools opening back up and the recruiting landscape getting back to normal, my family & I feel it is best for me to decommit at this time. FSU is still one of my top schools and I thank them for the support during the time of my commitment and moving forward.”
Harris has been highly recruited since beginning his career with the Yellow Jackets. He also announced on Monday that he had received an offer from Ohio State. He announced in April that he had received an offer from the University of Florida.
According to rivals.com, Harris has received offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Fla., Penn State, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Auburn and Florida.
