Starr’s Mill ended Thomas County Central’s season, sweeping a Class AAAAA first-round softball series 10-5 and 10-7 Tuesday.

Sarah Latham homered and drove in four runs for the Lady Panthers in the opener. Central led 4-1 before the Lady Panthers rallied for seven runs in the fourth inning en route to a 10-5 win.

Central jumped in front in Game 2 as well. A four-run third propelled the Lady Jackets to a 6-1 lead. But Starr’s Mill scored six times in the sixth inning and held on for the 10-7 win.

Starr’s Mill advanced to meet Kell, which swept Arabia Mountain.
